Role Definition
The Supply Chain Analyst EDI is the key person to develop, coordinate, implement, and manage all EDI-related developments for the Global Supply Chain organization.
The successful candidate can translate requests from users into specifications for the internal technical IT department.
Being able to translate processes into technical requirements and vice versa.
We are looking for a techno-functional consultant with SAP EDI Configuration & Development experience. To be successful as an EDI analyst, you should have in-depth knowledge of ABAP programming language, expert troubleshooting skills, and experience with end-user training.
Good business knowledge of Logistics, Order Management, Supply Chain is an added advantage.
This role reports into to the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence organization, to the Team lead for CoE based in Hyderabad.
Willingness to accommodate working across multiple time zones is a must.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Support :
Provide daily support on EDI processes to accomplish tasks by troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving process and systems issues.
Serve as a focal point for one or more of the cross-functional business teams / Power Users
Facilitate close collaboration with IT analysts to effectively resolve issues
New Business Arrangements :
Support integration of Supply Chain processes for each business including acquired businesses
Design / Develop / Test work with the IT and user teams to lay out new processes which meet business objectives utilizing corporate systems and benchmark best practices.
Training :
Communicate any and all process changes to end-users to ensure standard processes are understood and used.
Maintain and support digitization of process and training documentation for existing processes
Research and Improvements :
Analyze existing processes for hand-offs, in efficiencies and duplication of effort; recommend and promote system and / or process improvements for suboptimal areas of performance.
Assist as project team member for improvement projects including System integrations(IBP, Meridium, & customer legacy systems) and supply planning / order fulfillment integration in a Salesforce.com operating environment.
Design, develop the SAP programs / solutions which exchanges data across multiple IT systems and vice versa (Inbound & outbound)
Actively participate as subject matter expert to adjacent initiatives and improvement projects as defined.
Provide backup for Supply Chain Analysts in both home and globally dispersed Centers of Excellence.
Required
Education : Bachelor’s Degree or greater from an accredited college or university (16 Years education is must)
Preferred Degrees : Fields of IT / computers / related areas
Required Experience :
Minimum 5 years’ in SAP development and configuration, including SAP EDI. One should have at least two full cycle implementations experience.
Required to have strong technical skills and experience in various areas of SAP. Must have SAP techno functional knowledge.
Extensive experience with IDOCS, partner profiles, ports, setup of inbound and outbound (EDI / ALE) IDOCS, and customized configuration
EDI message types, Experience with design, implementation, and support solutions and technologies
ABAP programming, development & support experience in RICEF, OOPS, IDOCS, ALE, BADIs, user exits, enhancements, etc.
Design, development, troubleshooting and supporting IDOCs with partner profiles
SAP EDI IDOC with master and transaction data including change pointers
Strong knowledge & hands-on experience with configuration of EDI applications, integration of SAP & non-SAP
Experience in new dimension technologies, like FIORI and SAP HANA, is an added advantage
Working knowledge of project leadership approaches via application of LEAN, 6 Sigma or Agile methodologies.
