Opportunity for Senior Associate - Program Management

An overview of your job role :

  • As a Senior Associate, Program Management, you will take lead in project management, client management, and team management.
  • You will be required to manage sub-tracks of work (8-10 people) or support senior project managers with day-to-day project management activities.

  • You will be required to balance all phases of IT application development projects including initiation, planning, execution, implementation and post-
  • implementation activities.

  • You will be expected to leverage best practice standards and processes set out by AVIZVA and other industry organisations (likePMI).
  • A detailed look at your job responsibilities :

    Scoping :

  • Lead creation of scope matrix for medium size project (5-10 team members under multiple tracks in a given project)
  • Manage and control project scope and the change control process
  • Assist the pursuit team to complete RFP's, project scoping, sizing and pricing estimates
  • Project Setup :

  • Manage integrated, multi-track projects or programs of multiple projects
  • Oversee project estimations and staffing
  • Ensure project quality and performance standards
  • Suggest team structures to ensure maximum performance
  • Ensure key project and program-wide roles and responsibilities are defined
  • Ensure a positive and collaborative work environment for the team
  • Mentor and coaches project team members
  • Manage third-party partner and vendor relationships, as and when required
  • Project Planning & Tracking :

  • Develop detailed work plans (high / mid), project schedules, estimates, and people plans in conjunction with project team members and associated client teams
  • Monitor and report on project traction and progress
  • Coordinate the development, discussion, and approval of corrective action and contingency plans
  • Plan and implement change management work as project deliverables are rolled out, including activities such as training, communication, and documentation
  • Report progress / delays to project / programme lead with an outline of issues
  • Apply AVIZVA approach and methodology : Assist project managers with day-to-day project management tasks or lead small and mid-sized tracks / projects

    Project Execution :

  • Develop and track project plans for multiple tracks of work (as part of a larger project plan)
  • Ensure completion of deliverables on the assigned track
  • Assure project completion according to defined schedule and budget
  • Provide clear direction and motivation to project team
  • Risk and Issue Management :

  • Identify risks and issues within the assigned tasks and / or on the assigned track of work and communicate it to the project leadership / client with possible impact and proposed resolution
  • Dependency Management :

  • Work with track leads / client for identifying and working on cross module / team dependencies
  • Work with multi-site project teams across time zones
  • Handle client discussions on status / dependencies / process
  • Develops relationships with appropriate client stakeholders. Provides day-to-day contact for client on track related communications
  • Assist Project Managers in managing client relationships and preparing for client meetings
  • Ensure project deliverables meet / exceed the project sponsor's specified expectations
  • Engage project stakeholders and communicate project updates to ensure buy in and project success (examples : meetings, status updates)
  • Remain aware of the current industry environment that shapes opportunities for client solutions (news events, trends, mergers, etc.)
  • Communication :

  • Communicate effectively with the other members of the project and client's development / testing team
  • Create and present project status reports highlighting overall status of the project and critical issues for management
  • Drive project delivery through effective use of internal and client status meetings / reports
  • Drive organisation wide initiatives
  • Recommend continuous improvements to the project management practice
  • Ensure use of best practices and apply learnings from previous projects
  • You are expected to be more than good at following skills :
  • Project scheduling tools (MS-Project)
  • Leadership capability, preferably with leadership experience with a team size of more than five people
  • Analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, prioritisation, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform people allocations and run team meetings
  • Knowledge of software development life cycles, web technologies, web development processes and the delivery of solutions
  • Professional & interpersonal communication

  • Must have's :

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree required in Computer Science or related field preferred
