Value Added Services (VAS) team is looking for a data-driven and result-oriented business leader to expand services charter for Indian customers.
The Business Development Head is the single-threaded owner of all strategic brands and seller relationships for Services in key consumer electronics categories.
A successful candidate will build solutions by leveraging existing brand relationships and will forge new synergistic relationships with emerging brands.
The candidate will negotiate win-win deals at CXO level in brand organizations and act as a passionate advocate of amazon services with external stakeholders.
She will be a self-starter, embraces ambiguity and operates with significant autonomy with senior leaders.
This role presents a significant opportunity to create and scale a new businesses from scratch in a rapidly growing space for Amazon India customers.
It requires the candidate to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and robust business development & relationship management skills.
Key job responsibilities
Design the overall engagement strategy for consumer electronics categories and brands to maximize service coverage in India
Lead brand facing component of designing, planning and implementing mechanisms that allow customers to use multiple services across the product usage journey
Negotiate and close commercial agreements with brands across all services and implement solutions that drive service adoption
Own P&L for service charter for key consumer electronics categories
Set up and own business review mechanism with tier-1 brands and sellers
Set up and own revenue recovery mechanisms with Brands and Sellers to ensure payments are recovered on time
Influence product roadmap to address the needs of Brands / Sellers by working closely with product management and technical teams

About the team
VAS team's mission is to build trust with product purchase on A.in through a portfolio of services across the life of a high-consideration product (Mobiles, laptops, LA, TV, etc).
This team interacts with multiple internal stakeholder teams and external partners to offer product-attached services to India customers.
Business Development managers interact with category and external partner teams to constantly raise customer experience bar.
In VAS team, Business Managers are expected to own initiatives that improve revenue streams and reduce wastage and costs.
MBA or equivalent qualification from a premier business school
7+ years post-MBA experience in business development, strategic account management or marketing functions
Exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation skills, relationship building and influencing abilities to impact decision making at CXO levels.
Superior organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines in frequently pivoting business.
Strong service mindset and ability to use metrics to measure service levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in composing concise, accurate and appropriately targeted responses.
Strong Excel skills with proficiency in using SQL for data extraction
Candidates with Business development experience in Digital Commerce / FMCG / CPG experience preferred
Ideal candidate will have experience in scaling businesses for multiple large accounts
Exceptional data analysis skills
Experience in solving complex, ambiguous problems at scale
