Job Summary (Overview of the purpose or functionof the job) :

Manager Application Engineerwill be responsible for following :

1. Solution SalesChampion : Work closely with Business Development & Regional Sales teamswho will engage with consultants, end user accounts, general contractors &selected distributors for qualified prospect pipeline creation.

The role requirementwill be to early engage at pre sales / pre bid bid stage with the prospectsalong with cross functional teams on value engineered solution design,specifying Simplex / other JCI fire detection portfolios techno commerciallywith differentiation , competitive benchmarking , estimation and engage throughsales cycle.

This responsibility will require min 25% travel across India

2. Leading inside salesteam responsiblefor Quotation Support , Design Optimization andtechnical compliance , Special Price Requests, margin calculations and Dataentries and updating into internal tools like salesforce.

3.Additional responsibilities include :

oIntroductory Sales Overview sessions for the distributors on detectionportfolio

oStandardization of Sales presentations

oSKU Rationalization : Analyzing historical sales , open orders ,market demand through open tenders , feedback from stakeholders on theappropriate mix and focused offerings and communicate it effectively to crossfunctional teams and channel

oQuarterly Inventory & Sales analysis on following andcommunicating with Sales Teams

Average Sales Price trends of key SKU’s by engagement with productmanagement and APAC FP&A Analyst & Sales Support Specialist

Channel wise opportunity to increase price for SKU’s

Channel wise price list (shorter version ) release with engagement with product management and salesteam

In addition, this rolewill be responsible for close working relationship with sales, productmanagement & Technical Product Support Specialist on phone and emails

ØBEElectronics / Electrical or B. S

ØMinimumof 12-15 years’ experience in Customer facing large value solution sales, design& engineering / estimation, Pricing, product portfolio management etc.

ØStrongdata analysis and presentation skills

ØSimilarexperience in Fire Alarm , Electronic Security in systems integration orproducts organization

ØInnovativethinker with an entrepreneurial spirit

ØEffectivecommunication skills both verbal & written.

ØAbilityto work well in multifunctional team environment
