    Purpose :

    The IP Group of Clarivate Analytics is focused on developing innovative solutions that help our customers navigate the evolving IP landscape and make better business decisions across the Innovation life-cycle.

    As our organization continues to scale, we are seeking a curious, analytical, and execution-oriented strategic Intelligence professional to help accelerate this transformation.

    As a member of the Strategic Development team within the IP Group of Clarivate Analytics, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of timely insights and analysis on sectors and the competition to support the IP Groups tactical and strategic decision-making and enable strategic planning to lead rather than follow trends.

    You will play an important and highly visible role, with close working relationships with stakeholder teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product and the Executive Leadership.

    This position is responsible for :

  • Managing the Competitive Intelligence content cadence and process, forming cross functional teams of SMEs, developing content and implementing enablement around top competitors and market conditions.
  • Continuous screening of IPG competitive environment, and managing the production of ongoing CI deliverables, such as news feeds, monthly competitor briefing and market trend analysis.
  • Maintaining and enhance the IPG internal CI pages, maximizing their potential as a primary communications channel
  • Supporting strategic projects by driving customer understanding, articulation of competitive advantage and bespoke market research to provide actionable recommendations to the strategy team.
  • Cultivating relationships and working across key functional areas such as Product, Marketing, and Sales to drive strategic insights for IP products and services;
  • Tracking and reporting CI and MI Research for regular leadership reporting.
  • Maintaining relationships with external agencies providing research and analysis.
  • This position will need :

  • BA / BS or equivalent degree; Advanced degree preferred;
  • Experience in performing IP research or market / competitive intelligence, ideally within a professional services environment or for a large complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of the IP market, IP research tools and services. Preferable previous experience in IP research.
  • Strategic thinker, keen to understand, anticipate, evaluate, and proactively respond to stakeholder requests and business issues.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to derive insights from primary and secondary research to provide recommendations and perspectives to support the business and develop results into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written, verbal, web, and communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a challenging environment
  • Flexibility in adjusting to new, different and changing business requirements and decisions
  • Ability to successfully navigate and influence within a complex and matrixed business environment, building effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Comfortable working with offshore teams and operating in an virtual team environment.
