Position Summary

The Web Publishing Lead will be responsible for driving the publication of marketing web pages for thermofisher.com. Your day-to-day activities will include the design, construction and maintenance of web pages, as well as serving as primary point of contact with US-based internal teams.

You will coordinate a team of Web Publishing Specialists, with the support and supervision of a US-based Web Marketing Manager.

To be successful in this role, you need to be passionate about digital marketing, building webpages and mentor resources.

You are comfortable working in a highly matrix environment in a global organization and are flexible to support internal teams in US time zones.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate a team of Web Publication Specialists, including participating in activities of setting individual goals and reviewing performance
  • Interact with business partners to understand web content requests and advise on customer-centric designs
  • Create web pages within Adobe Content Manager, and customize HTML / CSS code as needed
  • Edit optimized web-ready digital graphics by compositing, masking, sharpening, resizing, etc.
  • Adhere to the style and navigational guidelines of the website. Propose improvements based on business partners’ feedback and web analytics
  • Work with business partners when content require clarification or correction
  • Collaborate with SEO Manager to understand and adopt technical SEO best practices
  • Manage workflow and maintain tight deadlines of multiple, simultaneous projects, with prioritization guidance from supervisor
  • Interface within the project management system on assigned projects. It includes retrieving assets, communicating details of project, uploading URLs for review, and completing assigned steps within the workflow
  • Provide project status updates to the supervisor and business partners to set expectations on timelines, accomplishments, open questions and risks
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and follow Agile principles
  • Be available during off-hours to participate in daily standups and attend meetings with team members based in US
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree and at least 5 years of hands-on experience with customer-facing web sites
  • At least 2 years of people management experience
  • Experience working with content management systems, Adobe Experience Manager a plus
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite of products including Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver
  • Solid understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with backlog management tools, WorkFront and Jira a plus
  • Passionate about user experience and customer-centric design
  • Interested in page analytics and data-driven approaches
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles
  • Experience in working with in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based project environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and an eye for design consistency
  • Strong focus on high quality deliverables with minimal bugs / errors
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with all project team members on a formal, informal, written, and verbal basis
  • Team player with a positive attitude who is prepared to go the extra mile to accomplish business objectives
  • Agile experience is a bonus
