Preferred Qualifications

Oracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (OCPIC) software development team is seeking an experienced software engineer. We are seeking candidates with 6-10 years of intensive C++ and/or Java development experience in a Linux environment and prior telecom or networking experience.

About us:

OCPIC is telecom network analytics product that allows CSPs to be agile and nimble with performance/fraud/revenue assurance monitoring in changing telecom ecosystem and demanding end-users. Our team of engineers are expert at 100s of network protocols, Oracle database storing a vast amount of data and developing intuitive analytics applications to help CSPs with Network Performance, Service Assurance, Subscriber profiling, and Network Security and Marketing campaigns.


  • Review, troubleshoot and resolve field escalations. Write root cause analysis for field issues. 
  • Able to provide on-call Engineering Support during US Morning Time on-need basis.
  • Design, develop, maintain and unit test OCPIC software written in C++ on Linux platform.
  • Work/Co-ordinate/collaborate with Oracle Communications team in an agile development environment.
  • Participate in discussions and maintenance to improve software performance, maintainability, serviceability, and reliability. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

    The OCPIC team is currently seeking someone with 5-10+ years of C++ software engineering in a Linux environment.

  • Bachelors or MCA equivalent engineering/computer science education spanning 4 years.
  • Advanced experience in C/C++, OOPs design paradigms and design patterns.
  • Strong command on spoken and written English.
  • A strong background on Linux and multithreaded programming.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and drill down complex issues in a quickly time-sensitive manner.
  • Must have some experience with any relational database.
  • Good to have experience with telecom/networking protocol and protocol software development.
  • Ability to work directly from specification like IETF RFCs and 3GPPP TSs.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities. 
  • Experience with UNIX based development tools and agile development methods is required.
  • Knowledge of software development methodology, build tools and product life cycle. 
  • Excellent team skills, can-do attitude, focus on quality and drive to make a difference in a dynamic, fast-paced organization. 
  • Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

    As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

    Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
