Position Summary

Briefly summarize your position’s purpose or role.

To Provide Operation team Leadership and Management to operations team associated with one manufacturing asset to attain objectives for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Housekeeping, Human resources, Environmental and Asset management.

This position needs to ensure the following :

Business activities support the K-C Corporate OS&H and Environmental policies.

The products comply to FPS and ensures the Quality Management system is effectively deployed to reduce product complaints.

Also Quality Indices are achieved as w.r.t to target set by management team.

EHS aspects and hazards are appropriately identified and managed to acceptable levels of risk by prepairing Annual Safety Plan for his area of responsibilities.

The leader drives an effective objectives setting process for his subordinates and regularly reviews the same in in line with GPM system.

The asset improvement plan are identified to ensure the conversion cost is in line with the operations OGISM objectives

Ensure implementation of LEAN philosophy and drive continuous improvement

Person should be responsible to maintain product quality and should ensure that requirements of QMS

are fulfilled.

The products comply to FPS and ensures the Quality Management system is effectively deployed to reduce product complaints And ensure that Quality Indices are achieved as per target set by regional QA team and Management

The Facility operates 5 semi automated PLC controlled Baby and Feminine Care manufacturing lines and associated support equipment, incorporating state of the art technology, and operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

These machines are PLC controlled. We have packaging assets associated with diaper as well as Fem Care lines

    Safety :

  • Adopt Safety practices that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines
  • Ensure compliance of Plant Safety Rules.
  • Achieve business objectives through establishing and following safe workplace practices consistent with KC
  • guidelines.

  • Minimise damage or losses
  • It will help in running the equipments in line with the statutory requirement

  • No safety incident during regular work activities.
  • Internal as well as external audit from KC or Local statutory authorities

    Develop employees to their full potential through Performance Management coaching, appropriate training and education, goal setting and career development.

  • 100% completion of a Global Performance Plan (GPP) for each subordinate.
  • 100% completion of a Individual Development Plan (IDP) for all subordinates.
  • High Level of motivation and retention of skilled and talented employees.

    Quality Assurance and testing

  • Ensure compliance to QMS and drive CAPA for any quality or process deviation
  • Establish and promote good quality awareness and habits among the team.
  • Ensure STM activities are being carried out as per facility guidelines.
  • Ensure defective products are quarantined and sort out most effectively .
  • Derive and work out short and long term action plans to deal with recurring quality issues.
  • Ensure that Quality Indices are achieved as per target set by Management.

    Attributes and variables are maintained within the band width of standard deviation.

    Manage Machine Operation

    Manage and lead asset performance by implementing sound systems and practices in all levels of operation to ensure continuous improvement in productivity.

    Communicate and follow up effectively with operating teams, engineers and other support team s for effective performance of the asset.

    Drive and lead short and long term action plans to deal with productivity issues as and when needed. Review the plan and monitor the progress continuously to ensure effectiveness of reaching the objectives.
