This position will be part of a team responsible for Carrier Support for multiple Business Units using SAP and other Transportation systems.
The principle responsibilities include assuring timely and accurate payment of freight invoices, maintenance of rates, managing related data, and resolving carrier questions.
This role requires the individual to lead and coordinate with Business, on shore team as well as Carriers. The resource will troubleshoot issues by coordinating with carriers, other CTL teams, and BUs to facilitate timely delivery of product and payment to carriers.
Manage transportation data (carrier rates, lanes, routes, and etc) and trouble-shoot issues
Problem Solving : Adhere to SLA’s / SOP’s.
Resolve operational issues for international trade’s .
Act as a go to person for team members for supply chain / documents, issues & decision taker to enhance operational efficiencies.
Work for workflow for CTL teams at CBS sites
Capture related metrics and other duties as assigned
Invoice audit & validation process, month end activities.
Minimum 3- 5 yrs. of college degree in any field (preferably Biz management, Export / Import Documentation & foreign Trade / Supply chain
Computer proficiency, Analytical tools (Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel and Word. Excel etc.)
Minimum 2-3 yrs. of relevant experiencein freight management of export / import operations

Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions in the business.
Effective decision making and problem solving·Minimum 3yrs of experience in export / import one of the following : Freight Payables, Freight Management, Carrier Compliance, SAP, or JDE
Solid understanding on freight payment process and freight management (contract, Tender and Data Management
Solid understanding of risk and internal controls.
Knowledge of the US Railroad system, tariffs, terminology, and invoicing practices (additional)Knowledge of US geography.
Ability to read and interpret Contract language and determine if suggested changes are acceptable
Knowledge of import and export requirement Knowledge regarding containerized cargo shipments, truck operations, related freight movement activities
Experienced in managing contractors and workforce would be an added advantage.
Master’s degree with focus in Transportation & Logistics, Finance or International Trade
Knowledge of transportation industry
Experience in accounts payable, tender management etc.
Experience maintaining contracts
Experience with SAP or other integrated system
