About Business Unit :

We are looking for talented, driven, experienced self-starter to join our Service Provider solutions team and to help Service Providers in their journey of network transformation.

The role encompasses solutions development for various Service Providers, including Communications Service Providers (i.

e. Telco, cable and others), Managed Service Providers, Hosting companies, Content Delivery Networks, and Cloud / Consumer / Enterprise Web Technology providers.

The Service Provider solution engineering team is responsible for building ready solutions from point of reference architecture to turnkey solutions.

The Solution engineering teams works closely with product management teams to gather market insight, partner technology inputs, and internal server, storage and networking roadmaps for building ready solutions for the current and emerging Service Provider markets.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in virtualization, containers and software defined networking. Every Solution Engineer is expected to be inquisitive about new and emerging technologies, be quick learners, and be able to work with geographically dispersed team members.

Our solutions are built on top of Dell EMC server, storage, and networking products. As a Solution Engineer you are empowered to influence the overall roadmap, participate in product design discussions and interact with sale teams and customers to understand the impact of our delivered solutions.

Solution Engineering is a geographically dispersed team, this engineer will work with global team members to build and deliver solutions that match or exceed customer expectations.

Solution Engineering will also support overall Service Provider virtual teams (comprised of sales engineers, service support and product management) to support with sales opportunities with knowledge transfer and supporting team members with technical data that aides team members in conversation with the customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to overall software strategy
  • Execution of specific solution development plan(s)
  • Contribute to the development of deployment guides and automations of networking portions of Service Provider solutions
  • Integrate new hardware products (e.g. servers, switches, storage) and their components (e.g. NIC, NVMe, network offloads) into clustered solutions
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be responsible for own deliveries
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities
  • Qualifications

  • B.E. / B. Tech. or M.E. / M. Tech in Computer Science or MCA
  • Technical understanding of the core hardware elements of an enterprise data center (i.e. compute, networking, and storage) and the software / hardware ecosystem that supports infrastructure virtualization
  • Experience with Agile or Lean processes required
  • Ability to document, educate and train users on the tools you develop
  • Experience in Python, Ansible, and other scripts
  • Experience with developing Telco targeted solutions : NFV, RAN, MEC, vRouter, etc.
  • Ability to debug L2 and L3 networking issues
  • Hands on experience with virtualization (e.g. ESXi, KVM) and / or containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency with Linux environments
  • Communication skills written and oral
  • Be active Open Source contributors, like OpenStack, Kubernetes, ONAP, ONF, Akraino
  • Have a high-level attention to details, balanced with high-level understanding of processes to drive improvements
  • Experience

    6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    BE, B Tech (any stream), M. Sc (Electronics, Computer Science), M.C.A
