This position is responsible for establishing, planning and running the engineering sub system meetings to en sure appropriate cross functional representation and input from all relevant areas.
You will have responsibility for provide leadership and guidance within your defined module where new engineering systems and components are developed.
Managing the team, planning projects and reporting on progress to management.
Ensure your M odule progression of design initial concept through to Engineering Sign-Off and design gateways Set and deliver Cost& weight targe ts for module.
Ensure Regulatory compliance of all chassis aggregates (Brakes, steering system, suspension, front axle, Wheels and tyres, Powertrain mount etc.)
Define and deliver appropriate system-level engineering targets to meet function, quality and attri bute requirements of the Vehicle Program ensure that all products meet the specification requirements and project targets through a documented DVP.
Keep track and ensure resolution of all Validation issues.
Develop System Design Specifications incorporating e ngineering standards, test procedures and material specifications.
Facilitate Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, q uality history reviews development tests.
Ensuring all relevant documentation as per ISO& quality standards.
Lead the resolution of design trade-offs, attribute or packaging incompatibilities through the appropriate cross-functional meetings Support Purchasing team in Sourcing and RFQ activities.
Support vehicle launch and pre-production builds (both virtual and physical) Ensuring the effective application of APQP to manage Module delivery.
