About the Team:
Adapter development team at IDC is responsible for architecture, design, implementation and operations of Oracle's Adapters for Cloud such as Oracle Service Cloud (Oracle RightNow), Sales Cloud, Human Capital Management (HCM), Marketing Cloud (Oracle Eloqua) as well as enabling technology adapters such as REST/Database/File/FTP/SFTP/FTPS/MQ/Email/SMS/IM on the cloud. The adapters have an important role to play in Oracle’s iPaaS strategy by providing an elevated experience that enables user to build integrations from cloud to cloud as well as on-premise applications.
The team is also responsible building platforms for cloud to on-premise integration as well as enabling of overall cloud technologies in general. The team is involved in entire product development life cycle right from inception of product features to delivery on the cloud.
Work on Cloud Adapters and Cloud SDK for one or more subsystems for design & development of next version of the product including features and enhancements. You will also be responsible for enablement of existing on-premise user interface on the cloud via ICS and Web based technologies.
As a part of building the Cloud Adapters, you will need to interact with various application teams such as Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, ERP Cloud, E-Business Suite regularly to understand architectures and requirements. You will be responsible for requirements analysis & architecture definition, designs & prototypes, coding & implementation, bug fixing, product release and post release customer support. Apart from designing & coding the features owned by yourself, you will be expected to technically guide a team of bright developers throughout the product life cycle right from product's feature inception to delivery. Technical product decision-making will lie with you and you will have to steer those architecture/design decisions amongst varied level of conflicts in a global setting. As part of the overall quality, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing and functional automation of the adapters being worked on. You will also be responsible for coordinating with the documentation teams for reviewing the documentation for technical accuracy and helping them understand the features.
You are expected to be very 'hands on' and an excellent team player with good oral and written communication skills. You are expected to be a self driven and goal oriented person.
Strong Java, XML, J2EE development skills - Must be hands on for designing and coding
Strong OOAD skills
Excellent Debugging skills using Java debugging tools
REST/ Web Services
Google App Engine/ Heroku/Amazon EC2/Azure (Desirable)
Domain experience with ERP applications (Desirable)
Excellent team player.
Good communication skills to interact with extended team in HQ
B.E./M.Tech in Comp Sc or Electronics from NIT/IIT/BITS

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
