Maersk Line Fleet Management & Technology (FM&T) is responsible for all aspects of Ship Management of all the Maersk owned container vessels.

Ship Management operations are primarily conducted out of Copenhagen, Singapore, and Mumbai.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the projects and initiatives to increase efficiency and competency of Technical Management.
  • Provide support to core operations as and when required.
  • Assist Time Charter Vessels with regards to Text reporting and MSPS reports.
  • VESSELS :

  • Send out regular reports to vessels highlighting vessel performance.
  • Provide clarity to vessels for setting correct parameters in achieving constant power strategy and optimum trim.
  • Ensuring vessel following procedures and adhering to Charter party agreement.
  • Monitor Energy Efficiency components for vessels under your responsibility.
  • Vessel visits of ships requiring special attention and undergoing projects.
  • Ensure all projects initiated should keep safety as its key priority in all daily vessel operations.
  • Maersk Line Ship Management Services :

  • Collate and closely analyze vessel performance daily and weekly reports with objective of highlighting and supporting Owners in addressing areas for improvement.
  • Conduct monthly meeting with Owners discussing on vessel performance.
  • Provide feedback and support to vessel owners in all Vessel Performance related matters, with high focus being on energy efficiency.
  • Drive innovations and initiate projects within Technical Operations towards improving energy efficiency
  • Closely liaise with Chartering, Deployment and Brands to ensure optimum performance of the fleet
  • Share reports highlighting performance trends with Chartering, Deployment & Brands
  • COMMUNICATION

  • Maintain relations / communication with external parties / stakeholders.
  • INVESTIGATIONS

  • Anticipate weak spots by monitoring vessel waste and performance and developing dialogues with vessels & Owners.
  • Coordinate with UWS team for better full performance.
  • Assist Post Fixture & LOC in investigations into challenges with Charter vessels in close co-ordination with relevant stakeholders
  • We are looking for

    We are looking for a Marine Engineer at least with sailing experience as a Chief Engineer / Senior 2nd engineer or graduate of any engineering or maritime course (preferably Marine Engineering with 5 years of work experience.

    You have effective English communication and stakeholder management skills.

    You are well versed with the fuel systems onboard and have experience with fault finding of the same for various vessel classes.

    You have a passion for analyzing vessel performance data and a flair for identifying how complex and innovative engineering ideas can be turned into business value.

    You have good analytics skills and a trouble shooting mindset. You are comfortable with MS office packages (excel, power point) and knowledge with analytical tools like Power BI and Tableau is an added advantage.

    You possess People management & leadership skills. Technical know-how in the field of engineering, Project Management.

    As a person, you are an independent, systematic and quality minded hard worker, who has a positive and pro-active mind-set.
