The Branch Controller is one point of contact in the region for all financial matters pertaining to the region. Owns branch sales & financial performance including P&L, and volume of the region. Responsible for Driving sales & Improving Gross Margin with Trade Spend Efficiency in partnership with Sales. This role shall perform various monthly closing activities, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, internal financial reporting, and financial analysis. Shall show a dedicated commitment to accuracy and interject critical thinking into every project completed.

Prepare & Support

Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements-HO, RSFM, FSM & DP's. Support in the identification of Sales & Trade Spends performance issues through the monthly review.

Support month-end and year-end close process & coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Manage

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL & Revenue Recognition for the region.

Define trade scheme in Bulls-I & claim verification & settlement.

Check the claims of Distributors & settle them. Liaison with distributors to clarify any questions on compliance matters.

Cooler/Asset Tracking

Thru Bulls-I & by other means track the Coolers Deployed. Take Lead in Implementing the New Cooler E2E Plan-Deploy-Track System.

Partner with Sales in devising trade schemes, analyzing during the month efficacy of trade schemes & provide insight for mid-month course correction. Avoid unknown overspends.

Management Support Provide problem management support all including the difficult, high profile customer issues and ensures root-cause analysis is conducted and a corrective action plan is followed through with any learning applied for future benefit. Liaison with Business Controller & Regional Sales team for support.

Enforcing pay for performance for conditional visibility in partnership with the Business controller & Sales team.

Partner with the business and facilitate them to take decisions; Analyze ROI of Cooler & Visibility Activation, Implement the mechanism for plan ROI evaluation & evaluate actuals against the plan. Measure & evaluate the Trade investments/money invested in channel/segment.

Review

Review of profitability of channel partners and create a ‘win-win’ payout model. Undertake Cost analysis, cost control and implementation of various cost-saving plans.

Assist in Financial planning. Work closely with Regional Business Manager to make the annual financial plan.


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

  • CA with 5 to 7 years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Finance experience in the FMCG industry and a considerable exposure to Commercial Finance.
