Purpose :

Responsibilities includes :

  • Technology management : Strong hands-on SAP Basis experience with a mix blend of managing Support & upgrades engagements,
  • Exposure of SAP roadmap planning and execution, SAP architecture designing, latest SAP technologies like Cloud / HANA platform
  • Hands on experience in managing infrastructure in Public Cloud
  • Service Management : Manage the total scope of IT delivery (Cost, Quality and Time)
  • Strong Stakeholder & Vendor Management : Maintain good relationship with Syngenta Stakeholders & Strategic Partners / Vendors
  • Experienced in managing Transition of SAP Basis Service
  • Scope (Key Accountabilities)

  • Proficient in managing SAP transport management and the release management from platform perspective
  • Accountable for Basis and Infrastructure functions across multiple SAP systems like ECC, S4, MDG, EBI, BO, APO,PO,etc.
  • Good understanding of Database technologies : Oracle, SAP HANA and MS-SQL
  • Competent in the area of Disaster recovery & cluster switch for SAP & Database
  • Drive Service improvements and have good understanding of DevOps
  • Drive Major incidents independently along with managing the stakeholders and Partners
  • Drive Service Management leading to SLA achievement and high level of customer satisfaction
  • Focus and drive service SLAs that is not meeting expectations working collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Owns regular service performance (platforms and suppliers) reviews, dashboard reporting on KPIs and SLAs / OLAs
  • Able to guide partners in maintaining infrastructure in Public Cloud and basis services
  • Manage cost of delivery by looking at better ways to provide service in a cost efficient manner
  • Incident, problem, escalation, configuration, release and capacity management
  • Compliance with all Internal and External Audit observations
  • Smooth transition of projects into production. Achieve run stabilization within 2- 3 months
  • Build a healthy and working relationship with key stakeholders
  • Identify and drive service improvements effectively
  • Qualifications

    Qualification, Experience & Critical leadership capabilities

  • Overall 10 -12 years of IT experience, of which 6-8 years of professional IT Global Service delivery / management experience with hands-on of SAP Basis and Public Cloud Infrastructure
  • Computer science, engineering or technical related degree
  • ITIL V3 experience (certification desirable)
  • Technologies : SAP Platforms ( SAP Basis, Integration, Interfaces, Upgrades, HANA, Cloud, Architecture)
  • Excellent communication around issues, managing escalations, opportunities and Documentation skills with attention to detail
  • Solid experience in client facing and managing outsourced partners
  • A Team player with a collaborative attitude, proactive and ability to work under pressure
