We are seeking to recruit a Senior Application Support Engineer to support our Infrastructure, production data and applications.
This position is based out of Bangalore, supporting Global locations in the UK, Americas and Asia. This Position will involve managing various critical Thomson Reuters Applications running on Windows and Unix Platform.
The Team manage a diverse range of services which reside on predominantly Windows and UNIX servers. The team manages both pre production and production environments.
The role involves close liaison with application development, networks, security, management systems, storage and database teams.
This is an Application support role with more of a specialist role working in a 24 x 7 Shift and should maintain high technical troubleshooting skills as well as play an important role in problem resolution.
Required Skills :
Mininmum 5 to 8 years experience on Windows based Operating systems.
Minimum 2 years experience with various software applications
Windows Administration and Troubleshooting.
ITIL based release management processes.
Experience with IIS Web Applications - 2 years
Good experience on .Net based Applications.
Experience on scripting.
Knowledge on any software programming language.
Knowledge on Database
Knowledge of different 'Wintel' and Solaris hardware configurations.
Working knowledge of some scripting language (Shell, Perl, Python).
Working knowledge of SQL language.
General knowledge of XML language.
Good analytical skills (root cause analysis and create solutions to resolve incidents).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Have a strong desire to identify ways for improving processes and documentation.
Have working knowledge of AWS
Have skills on CI / CD
