Business Analyst

Reports to:



The Business Analyst understands the business problems and define, analyze and document requirements. Develop wireframes/mockup to develop solutions that meet the business needs. Serve as a functional point of contact and work with the project team to meet the business needs. Managing requirements at the project level can help fulfill business needs. Business analysts typically take the lead role in: Assisting with the business case.


  • Requirement Gathering, Requirement Analysis, User Stories, Functional Documentation, Agile, Business Requirement Specification, Traceability matrix, Functional Requirement Walkthroughs / reviews, Product usability testing, Design, Functional Training.
  • Knowledge of FDA GMP/QSR regulations and associated requirements for electronic records and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Understand what the business does and how it does it
  • Determine how to improve existing business process
  • Analyze the requirements and define configuration specifications
  • Perform quality assurance.
  • Assist in requirements prioritization based on business value
  • Adhere to company and project standards and guidelines.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Ability to apply general organizational knowledge of the business and systems processes in problem analysis is required. 
  • Contribute to the company knowledge base and process improvements.
  • Help design, document and maintain system processes.
  • Communicate key insights and findings to product team.
  • Conduct Periodic Functional Flow testing
  • Suggest improvement, identify and communicate issues and functional gaps to the concerned stakeholders and deliver better value to the customer.
  • Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Work Experience:

  • 2-5-years’ experience in Business / Systems Analysis

Technical Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing.
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
  • Experience in SQL queries.
  • Basic understanding of FDA GMP/QSR regulations and associated requirements for electronic records and Good Documentation Practices.
  • In-depth understanding of validation expectations for FDA regulated companies.
  • Knowledge on Agile Methodology.

Education Requirements:

  • A degree in IT / Computer Science.
  • Basic knowledge in generating process documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
