Key Accountabilities :
Leading Windows / Unixinvolvement in strategic initiatives.
Oversight ofWindows / Unix involvement from other team members.
Participate in projectplanning to establish key milestones and effort estimates.
SME for the technologyand guide functional delivery teams
Hands-on experience inthe underlying infrastructure / platforms
Suggest & implementindustry best practices in production and project delivery
Contributes intechnical delivery of projects by providing Technical / Application guidance toproject teams
Identifying emergingtechnology trends, constantly question, clarify from teams and ensure thatcritical technology issues are resolved.
Proactive analyticaland problem management
Process / systemimprovements including direct involvement and contribution to crisis calls,MIRs and SIPs
Producing relevant datafor trending & analysis purpose
Primarily responsibleto drive Process Improvements and Standardization
Works closely with AppSupport / Dev teams
Ensure strict adherenceto all regulatory issues and compliance of all internal controls
Ensure strict adherenceHSBC Group Compliance Policies
Maintain compliance toInformation Security other Group policies documented in Group IT FIM

Expert level knowledge of UNIX (AIX / Solaris / Linux)
Should possess industry standard certifications forUNIX / Cluster Technologies.
Expert level knowledge of VERITAS Volume Manager, VERITASCluster Server and VERITAS Netback up Client
Expert level knowledge and hands on experience ofconfiguring and supporting Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008 Server environments plusindustry standard certifications for Windows Server technology (MCITP)
Expert level knowledge of enterprise classinfrastructure software’s such as anti-virus, backup clients, hardwaretechnologies SAN, NAS, Storage and related client side software.
Virtualization(VMWare) related working knowledge is a MUST
Expert level knowledge of Cloud technologies andqualifications (AWS Associate / Professional certs), Azure (MCSA / MCSE / MCSD), GCP(Cloud Architect / Data Engineer)
Very good understanding of SAN configurationEMC / Hitachi LUNs on UNIX (AIX / Solaris / Linux) servers
Good understanding of scheduling tools such asControl-M or Autosys
Will be an asset :
Excellent understanding of database / server / storage configuration,monitoring and diagnostics
Experience in major version upgrades and migrations
Deep understanding of storage array technology
Ability to develop simple / complex shell scripts as per requirements.
Ability of support DRtests
Effective in dealing with Crises calls / Critical issues for businesscritical services
Proven experience in technically guiding teams inproductivity driven environment.
Proven experience in managing and buildingrelationship with business partners and customer service.
Should understand & have proven record of howtechnology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer.
Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and morespecific understanding of Service operations activities.
Excellenttroubleshooting and analytical skills
ManagingFinance Systems in an Investment Banking environment
5-10+ years Unix / Windows server experience in large Investment Bank
Experienceof Implementing and rolling out Agile methodology
Enthusiastic,self-starter who builds exceptionally strong relationships.
Implementingsystems on a global scale and working with large global teams
Strong knowledge ofhost basedSAN migrations
