Core Responsibilities

Market Assessment and Business Development

  • Undertakes responsibility to achieve sales budgets set for the section for assigned product
  • Manages profitability Productivity, Yield and acquisition cost within the budgeted levels
  • Achieves the budgeted cross sell targets for assigned product.
  • Takes ownership to monitor competitor sales strategy and develops plans to counter the same
  • Revenue Generation

  • Identifies new sales opportunities and leveraging a knowledge sector driven relationship approach to enhance sales and revenue generation through new and existing customers for achievement of established targets and objectives
  • Works closely with the Relationship Managers to ensure quality services being provided to the customers to ensure effective management of profit and loss account
  • Relationship Management

  • Ensures identification, hiring, training and retention of the desired sales staff at all levels
  • Manages relationships to drive cross sell through various initiatives across branches & channels.
  • Ensures identification and acquisition of new client / DST / DSA relationships by understanding the customers financial needs and also ensures providing suitable solutions in terms of providing bank products and services
  • Documentation and Compliance

  • Ensures adherence in implementation of processes as per policy
  • Ensures to educate and train the team members on the policy requirement
  • Ensures that the recommended process of appointment, management and review of the DSA’s and DSTs is being followed.
  • Works in close coordination with relevant BUs to ensure smooth and quick turnaround of transactions as and when required
  • People Management or Self-Management Responsibilities

  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are monitored and achieved during the course of the year
  • Takes ownership of his / her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the reporting manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means which go beyond just training
  • Understands the competencies relevant to his / her role, and works towards displaying as well as developing these effectively
  • Keeps abreast of relevant professional / industry developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional networks
  • Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities

  • Follows risk policy and processes to mitigate the operational, regulatory, financial, informational, reputational and audit risks as instructed by the departmental manager.
  • Executes the established internal control systems and compiles relevant information for departmental audits, as necessary
