Oracle Data Cloud System Administrator (Role : IC2)
Work with a world-class team to support industry-leading Oracle Cloud services. In this role you will work with talented team of technologists responsible for maintaining Oracle’s Cloud services.
The System Administrator will be part of the Oracle Data Cloud team and will be responsible for the 24 / 7 / 365 support of fast pace the production hosted environments.

Key responsibilities :
Alert monitoring, troubleshooting, remediation, and escalation of tickets tied to the product support function
Coordinate with Tier 2 / On-site support teams to establish and manage clear escalation guidelines for supported system components
Resolve problems by executing Standard Operating Procedures. Provide feedback to enhance Standard Operating Procedures.

Create and maintain materials that outline and support the Tier 1 Production Support function, associated processes, and overall system components that are supported
Identify and implement improvements to the team’s processes.
Perform routine checks and automate recurring tasks where ever applicable.
Develop training for other team members.
Assist broader IT Operations team with Tier 1 triage of Infrastructure and Application Support tickets
Other specific projects / tasks as required.
Key skills requirements :
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
Must have 2+ years of extensive System Administration experience with strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
Understanding of the concepts behind web application stacks.
Operating System : Windows administration 2003, 2008 & Linux administration in any distribution
Database : Knowledge on MS SQL / Oracle database administration would be an added advantage
Understanding / reading / writing / troubleshooting SQL script would be an added advantage
Knowledge on Virtualization and Scripting would be an added advantage.
Knowledge on Windows Active directory, Users & Permissions / Security troubleshooting
Working knowledge on AWS, EC2 would be an added advantage

Prior experience in monitoring and managing datacenters
Prior experience in mission-critical support role
Prior commercial development experience

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.
2-4 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.
