The Opportunity

Adobe Design, our nearly 300-person global experience design group, is looking for an Experience Designer to join the Print & Publishing team.

We work on market leading products in the spaces of digital learning, real-time collaborative meetings, complex multi-format documentation and more.

What you'll Do

Create user experience goals, priorities and deliverables that align with product milestones, coordinate multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of user experience practices.

Proactively engage with multiple project stakeholders, including business, product managers, engineers and designers in drafting & brainstorming initial concepts.

Convey design ideas and end-to-end user experience via sketches, storyboards, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes or animations.

Create designs that drive business impact, meet product objectives, fit within Adobe Design guidelines, and respond to user feedback and usability testing findings.

Be a champion for the user. Conduct primary and / or secondary research, as well as quick rounds of usability tests.

What you need to succeed

A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in experience design with a proven track record of great designs and strategy that meets user needs, product requirements & business objectives.

Preferably a strong formal education background in HCI or a design related field, with an emphasis on human centered design, user experience, interaction design or visual design.

Ability to grasp the essence of complex design problems and translate them to practical design solutions.

Ability to proficiently facilitate brainstorming sessions, cultivate the creative thinking process, create compelling presentation decks or videos, and present articulate concept pitches.

Ability to accept and design against feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce multiple highly polished and professional finished works under tight timelines.

Proficiency in fundamental visual & interaction design principles.

Strong understanding of Adobe Xd and / or other prototyping tools. Grasp of Photoshop, Illustrator, etc could help too.

Ability to comfortably work in hybrid release cycles, which may include waterfall and loosely defined agile and lean design.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem space.

Strong written & verbal communication and presentation skills
