Department Overview

The Wealth & Investment Management Technology (WIMT) group provides technology solutions to six key business lines for Wealth & Investment Management (WIM).

WIM is one of the nation's leading provider of investment services, administering $1.7 trillion in client assets, including $156 billion in deposits, and has $75 billion in loans.

To support this business line, WIMT manages more than 800 applications, more than 1,250 U.S. based team members, and 478 EGS team members.

About the Role

Acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.

Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.

Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.

Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.

Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff.

Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

Responsibilities :

Application Developer lead position on the ADS - Application Delivery Services / Business Integration group for Wells Fargo Advisors Brokerage Technology.

The Business Integration Group (BIG) manages, maintains and provides support to technology centric, distributed systems for Wells Fargo Advisors and WIM.

BIG provides technology leadership to complex / major risk and technology refresh initiatives and drive solutions to various engineering capabilities across WFA and WIM technology teams.

BIG also oversees audit requests and reporting needs across the teams.

Required Skills :

  • 6+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 4+ years of development experience with Microsoft technologies .NET / C# and / or Java, Java Scripting, Oracle, SQL Databases
  • 4+ years of Object Oriented Design (OOD) experience
  • 3+ years of API / micro services development, UI and Angular, Caching technologies at the applications, Service and database layers
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Desired Skills :

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical infrastructure including software configurations and relational databases
  • Vulnerability management systems experience
  • Information Security Frameworks and standards (FFIEC, NIST, ISO) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of patch management
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
