Job Title : Costing Associate
The Costing Associate performs data entry, updating part numbers, creating spreadsheets, part number purchasing analysis and communication with internal customers via email to support the Products, Pricing, Asset and Accounting teams.
Receive and format vendor price lists for entry into Mouser systems.
Review vendor price lists and identify information pertinent to product investment, pricing, lifecycle, etc.
Perform analysis of vendor price lists and the differences between new data and the existing system data
Prepare vendor price list data to update corresponding records in the system
Perform data entry using various computer programs, spreadsheet or database commands and format material as required.
Detailed and thorough in work habits with multi-tasking abilities while participating in the total quality process.
Ability to communicate, professionally and effectively, with all levels of the organization internally and with external customers.
Trustworthy and maintains confidentiality.
Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
Solid understanding of Cost Updates processes and guidelines.
Enter vendor price list updates into the system in a timely and accurate manner in order to ensure the accuracy of purchase orders and resale pricing.
Investigative and methodical in the approach to daily work activities. Ability to consciously and confidently implement changes that may directly impact corporate profitability.
Generate price protection claims (where applicable), submit the claims through the proper channels and follow-up, as needed, to ensure claims are processed on the supplier’s side and on Mouser’s side.
Review Mouser purchase history, on a part number level, as necessary.
Provide support, as requested, for Mouser’s Quotes and Tech Sales teams.
Demonstrate the initiative to improve Pricing Analysis processes and reporting. Exhibit the desire to continue learning and growing ones’ self and the department / organization.
Other duties as assigned (may include reviews of internal documents and programs).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Four year post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Possess strong attention to detail skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Able to use, read, interpret spreadsheets, printed reports and terminal screens.
PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment; proficient with internet, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and other software
