Micron Technology’s Nonvolatile Engineering Group is focused on developing leading-edge memory controller and System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, incorporating sophisticated HW and FW to enable Micron’s SSD and Managed NAND product roadmap.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

In this role, you will work with standardization bodies as well as internally with cross-functional teams to drive Micron’s agenda within the mobile storage standards.

Your new responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following areas :

  • Represent Micron in standardization bodies (MIPI, JEDEC, etc.)
  • Supervise new proposals and drive internal discussions with Architecture and Development teams
  • Review and analyze future standards which may enter the Managed NAND space
  • Coordinate within Micron effective standards proposals, including those which span standards bodies
  • Promote Micron’s Managed NAND interests to standards representatives of other companies
  • Generate new ideas and approaches to solve problems within the standards domain
  • Influence Micron’s product development based on standards innovation
  • Required experience & skill set :

  • 10+ Years Experience working within standardization bodies is a big plus
  • Experience working within standardization bodies is a huge plus
  • Experience in ASIC / SoC design / Signal integrity
  • Experience on Power and performance Analysis
  • Preferred Experience on Interfaces MIPI, M-PHY, UniPro, PCIe, SERDES (Good to have)
  • Preferred Experience in storage protocols : eMMC, UFS, SCSI, NVMe
  • Experience in SSD or Managed NAND or NAND Storage
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and understand detailed architecture with emphasis on cost, power, performance and the system level tradeoffs between them
  • Demonstrated ability to understand system-level consequences from component-level changes
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and disciplined abilities
  • Ability to work with other specialists across multiple disciplines, as well as customers of various positions
  • Experience working with off-shore teams in a multi-national environment
  • Must be able to travel frequently (international)
  • Education :

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or an equivalent required
