Job Description

Assist Business Divisions in sourcing strategic content from existing and new suppliers in various in line with business strategy as well as other strategic projects

Ensure best terms & best quality terms are negotiated for such content.

Maintain supplier relationships at a high level and ensure content is delivered according to agreed specifications

Be responsible for issues relating to third party content such as usage rights of data within products / services, implementation of new pricing and commercial terms for existing and new services etc.

Manage content budget and ensure that increase in the spend on existing content suppliers is controlled year on year.

Revise existing spend, where required, in consultation with the relevant Business Division representative.

Contribute toward annual savings target.

The key focus areas of this role are : -

Ensure we get the best quality data at the best price and in a timely manner to achieve the strategic objectives of the various Business Divisions

Work closely with Business Division representatives, Exchange Relationship Managers, Content Specialists, Project and Product Managers, global business administration and legal teams to ensure data requirements and related projects get delivered on time, and all relevant groups get involved in any relevant project and in a timely manner

Develop towards being a center of excellence on all commercial issues relating to data delivered by third party content suppliers and ensure internal compliance with data rights across the company

Responsibility to uphold company procedure and policies in the acquisition process, and make use of the required business tools to track progress and completion of all steps involved

Ensure that there is clarity around commercial terms of deals and that this is communicated to relevant groups internally : this is both prior and after deals are closed to set expectations right with relevant stakeholders of what can be expected and also to make sure communication internally and to clients is accurate after new deals are closed.
