JOB DESCRIPTION CONTEXT This is a critical business position tasked with building information and analytics capability in the sales commercial system and using business and competitive intelligence to help maximize revenue growth.

The person will manage the dashboards, analytics and performance management reporting for the Ad sales function. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Create the annual plan and help the sales function achieve itDevelop deep understanding of Media Industry, Television markets and competition.

Work on developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for all the channels which needs to be rolled up to the network levelWork on assessing the monthly & quarterly trends of revenue and associated KPIs to monitor the progress against the AOP and bring about the changes in the outlook, if required.

Work with business teams to help deliver challenging revenue targets. Market research and impact on advertisingWork closely with the research partners for identifying the large business and advertising trends of various industries to sharpen our outlook and pitch to advertisersWork closely with the research partners to identify the impact made by the sponsorship associations of advertisers with our programs and ensure repeat businessCollaborate with various members of the sales team to design the pitch for sponsorships and incremental sales basis performance drivers and trends.

Business AnalyticsPut in place appropriate business analytics to improve yields for the ad inventoryFind insights, find opportunities, create / support preparation of ad sales opportunities, drive analytics projects to make the ad sales organization successfulPerform analyses of sales performance of ad sales and identify opportunities for improvements that will further sales objectives.

Perform analyses of existing business trends and new business opportunities including whitespace. Design and update plans for the integration of market and industry trend analysis with business partners in Sales.

QUALIFICATION A first attempt qualified Chartered Accountant or an MBA in finance from a reputed Institute having 8-10 years of post-

qualification experience. He / she should have worked for FP&A / Business Planning / Analytics team of a large organization for atleast 3-

4 years Exposure to media industry is preferable, however not mandatory Experience of working with research agencies is desirable but not mandatory KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS The person should have a strong business orientation and be able to develop deep understanding of business drivers.

A complete self-starter, he / she must be able to work with business stakeholders and define the business needs around analytics and MIS and deliver those in the best possible manner The person should be comfortable with handling large volume of data and should have a strong analytical mind set Excellent communication skills, including ability to discuss complex analytical concepts with business users and to present data that has been optimized for consumption Ability to multi-
