While we have a young and talented product engineering team, we are looking for an experienced technology professional who will own the complete product engineering function of our products through technical expertise, delivery excellence and thought leadership.

Role & Responsibilities :
Own and evolve the product's technology architecture and development stack while keeping in mind needs of business as usual, evolving product feature requirements, security, scalability & maintainability.
Head the engineering team consisting of developers and testers - and ensure good delivery management to deliver the product roadmap with high speed and quality.
To do this, one would need to do good estimation and oversight over team member's work, while bringing automation and best practices to code management, testing and build and deployment processes etc.
Innovation - explore available technologies that may be useful to our context, and run experiments and POCs to evaluate before adoption.
Hands-on development. Take on the most complex issues / initiatives and solve them through hands-on development.
Help the team members in resolving difficult technical issues.
Set up best practices for development and drive their adoption.
Be a champion of engineering excellence : establish team metrics for measurement of engineering and operational excellence.
Implement a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement.
Identifying project technical risks and providing technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation.
Providing thought-leadership to fellow team members. Working as a guide and mentor to the rest of the team members.
Education : B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science / IT from Tier 1 Engineering Institute
Experience (No. of years) :
Overall experience of 6-12 years
Minimum 3 years- experience in leadership role
Experience in building world class products
Experience in building B2B products will be added plus
Experience in data security & server administration
Experience in building enterprise level integration
Experience in AI / ML will be added plus
Required Skills :
Core Java, Struts 2.0, Spring & Hibernate
Sound knowledge of relational databases (MySQL preferred), including schema design and advanced queries.
Must be familiar with advanced principles of object-oriented analysis, design and programming
Native mobile application development (preferred)
Must be hands-on with writing code and highly capable to help team with any technical problem
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience. Engaging and influencing peers and executives.
Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
