Job Responsibilities

  • Support to press machine area in changes, set-up and adjustments on tooling and die set to keep the product inside specification tolerances and / or supporting with trial running for new products, variants, changes, or steel tests.
  • Establish a control with the required tooling and maintain inventory of all tooling’s and fixtures inside the plant.
  • Support with new product developments, fixture adjustments / design, and defining the process for new variants.
  • Support core molding area for tooling in order to keep the product inside specifications tolerances and / or supporting with trial running for new products, variants or changes.
  • Participate with the internal team in projects for changes in the product specification, new variants, new machines, layout improvements, scrap reduction, productivity improvement, etc.
  • Assists in the prove-out of new processes and process changes by gathering data, making observations about the process, and communicating ideas to improve results
  • Assist in the daily activities of implementing process changes and problem solving on the shop floor
  • Monitoring and improving the OEE for the production equipment.
  • Works closely with the Process and Production Engineer
  • Design & develop press tool for new products Ferrous and nonferrous Materials
  • Design and build punch & die for the assembly area as required
  • Creative preventive maintenance plans for press tools & fixtures
  • Build up network with external suppliers to cover capabilities that are not available in house
  • Ensure that all work performed under safety standard IATF 16949
  • Tooling drawing Management To understand the CAD drawing
  • Background & Skills

  • BE (Tool & Die / Mechanical)
  • Understanding the manufacturing processes
  • Good Knowledge on Mechanical & Hydraulic presses
  • Expertise in Nonferrous metal stamping deep drawn parts
  • Knowledge in die set adjustment and its techniques.
  • Knowledge in measuring equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge in use of tooling shop (horizontal lathe, milling machine, grinding machine), and use of general tools.
  • Working knowledge of quality / problem solving tools (PPAP, Capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 4-Step, 8D, PFD)
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office), Auto cad & Inventor (desirable) for support with drawing documentation and / or layout
  • Customer Service mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Mechanical drawing interpretation
  • Knowledge in IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
