The role :
Improve and support products and align ongoing customer needs to VMware’s strategic vision
Be a key driver of the strategic goal to protect existing customer satisfaction and revenue during a time of technology transformation
Establish a sustainable, on-going engineering and product process for continued customer and internal support of a suite of actively used customer products
Develop a strong knowledge of customer needs and our organizational strategy, and how these impact the products you are responsible for
Own the strategy around how we measure and track continued engagement and demand for these products
Conduct customer and market analysis to help shape the on-going product investment strategy
Provide Product Management for a new team focused on sustainable, on-going engineering and product processes for continued customer and internal support of a suite of actively used customer products
Work closely with engineering to understand the scope and impact of any product requests so that you can make informed decisions about additional product investments
Regularly engage with our support teams, field organization and customers
Support other groups, such as sales and support, as questions about these products arise, and you will be expected to use these opportunities to help build evidence on the company’s strategic investment bets
Collaborate with customer field teams, go-to market teams and support to provide product enablement.
Work on both popular open source technologies (Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes) and proprietary solutions
Strong and clear communicator, preferably with previous experience speaking with large enterprise customers
Well organized. Able to track and manage a high volume of incoming feedback / requests and draw relevant insights
Able and willing to learn about multiple, related products offerings that support our customers and overall Tanzu Observability strategy
Excellent teamwork skills
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Product Management experience with a Platform Product is desirable
Product Management experience with an Observability Product is desirable
