Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for the Cloud migration of Intuit’s Enterprise data systems.
  • Rigorously apply your expertise in AWS technologies to chart our migration roadmap
  • While you don’t have to scale buildings, you must build and implement scalable and robust systems solutions, as well as being simple and easily digestible for our end-users
  • Roughly 70-85% hands-on coding
  • Provides operational excellence through root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams : product management, QA / QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of the project
  • Contributes to innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit as a whole
  • Strong problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to proactively follow issues through to resolution
  • Work as a member of a team and be willing to share your expertise with others.
  • Solid communication skills : Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audience
  • Deliver using Agile methodologies with a DevOps mindset
  • Qualifications

  • BS / MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and distributed systems.
  • 6 years of experience in a software development role with a focus on data systems.
  • Relevant 3- 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS technologies like S3, Athena, Redshift, EMR
  • Relevant 3-5 years of hands-on experience building scalable and reliable data pipelines based on Big Data processing technologies like Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Python, Hive.
  • Hands-on experience in ETL tools and working with large data sets in the cloud
  • Strong Experience working with complex SQLs
  • Experience on any Enterprise scheduling tool (AutoSYS, Tidal, Control M etc)
  • Proven capability of building data marts and data stores
  • Experience of working in a cross functional / geo team
  • History of contributing to open source projects is a plus
  • Experience with Informatica is a plus
