Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS)is the Oracle Cloud that provides cloud services for a variety of applications such as EBS, Peoplesoft, Siebel, Hyperion, etc. The OMCS monitoring team manages Monitoring Technologies, Tools, Monitoring Infrastructure, Automation development, Improvising monitoring metrics and thresholds for OMCS. The EM team is part of Oracle Cloud Services organization that works very closely with Cloud Service Operations using Oracle Enterprise Manager based monitoring to ensure that OMCS can successfully meet client SLAs
Enterprise Manager monitoring team is responsible in ensuring monitoring Infrastructure, Metrics, and tools are functional 24x7x365 and every issue is reported through automated monitoring. The Infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining all the backend systems for multiple Enterprise Manager systems making sure it is available all the time except for scheduled maintenance downtimes
Patching the system components such as the Database, the middle tier systems and other components of the multiple backend systems supporting monitoring of OMCS is a key task. A core requirement is experience in Database Administration
Develop automation for repeated tasks like patching, deploying fixes, identifying issue patterns and fixing them programmatically. Automate/Scripting routine jobs with Shell, Perl and SQL*Plus. Report generation using SQL, Oracle APEX and other Oracle tools
Working in Oracle Cloud dynamic is very dynamic with a constant need to understand the wide suite of Oracle products as well as rapidly changing Cloud technology. The applicant should be a ferocious reader of product documentation, fast learner, with self-driving and self-teaching skills. Job requires very good knowledge on all layers of Cloud Networks – Storage - Server farm – Application Services.
Able to work in a high pressure environment and independently as well as in large teams where success is purely based upon contribution of new ideas and solutions.
Knowledge of open source tools is an added advantage

Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.
As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
