Role Responsibilities
Responsible for the 24 / 7 operations of a complex SaaS system
Partner with QE, Dev, and Ops teams to ensure timely, accurate deployment of code across environments
Provides technical leadership to Software Engineers and Systems Engineers
Becomes familiar with all dependencies, interfaces and services required by the system
Champion operational, supportability, reliability, and performance concerns
Estimates and plans own work
Becomes the resident expert across multiple areas of the system
Evaluates issues with the system and resolves them in a timely manner
Ensures proper documentation is completed for all work
Responsible for achieving industry standard SLA’s for availability and response time
Implements changes to system assuring the changes do not introduce new issues
Position Requirements
BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related field of experience
Minimum of 5 years of Systems Engineering experience
3-5 years of experience providing operational support for mission critical applications
Proficient in Python, and shell scripting
Proficient in Linux Systems Engineering
RHCE or similar certification is preferred
Docker experience is highly desired
Experience working in a fast paced technology environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
