Who you are

As Security Software Sales Representative, you are responsible for sales of enterprise security software solutions for domestic market in India.

You will develop and own the relationship within assigned accounts / territory to maximize IBM Security footprint.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical sales knowledge in the specialty offerings, along with financial and selling skills, that can be applied to opportunities
  • Demonstrate required proficiency levels for technical and sales skills, as defined for incumbents in this position
  • Responsible for selling IBM Security offerings directly to enterprise customers in the region
  • Drive in-depth sales, business and professional skills to work with any level of customer management. With a perspective beyond the assigned territory, this professional provides input to sales objectives and strategies for the business unit

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in IT Sales Industry with 5+ years in IT Security domain
  • Ability to articulate IBM Security point of view and should have experience in handling business use cases with relevance to Information Security
  • Expertise to liaison with clients and business partners. This will be a sales quota driven role and ability to consistently deliver on sales targets is a requirement
  • Working ability of the Security offerings and drive the success of those offerings. Proficient to lead large and / or complex opportunities, where customers are national or otherwise significant, and is responsible for winning the business
  • Validated expertise in the areas of SIEM, Data Security, Information Risk Management
  • Proficient in the sales processes, techniques, and tools, and advises others on their use. Prior experience in opportunity / territory management, cost justification, acquisition management, services business management and channel management processes
  • Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Expertise in documentation and technical writing while being independent, and willing to learn and adapt to a matrix structure
  • Ability to advise other sales specialists within the specialty
  • You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets / goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
