Job Description Summary

  • Responsible for sales and customer relationships for services in Western India region
  • Leading customer relationships across the entire portfolio in the assigned region
  • Responsible for orders, commitments and convertible orders for a defined region across all product portfolios.
  • Spearheading deal negotiations & closure with customers partnering with commercial operations & product sales
  • Execution of strategies made, to achieve order closure
  • Partner with the Regional fulfillment team to plan and meet customer outage requirements
  • Support the development of Sales strategies focused on longer term SAS expansion and penetration

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Market understanding, market utilization & influence Customers

  • Comprehend the environment of assigned segments and / or products including market size, competitive data, price dynamic, distribution channel and promotion in the respective region
  • Lead and conduct customer meetings to understand customer perceived value. Educate and influence customers on the value of our product offerings
  • Gather and analyze competitor feedback in the respective regions to improve GE understanding of value differentiation in the eyes of our customers
  • Persuade customers to understand and recognize the full economic value that our product solutions
  • Economic modeling / strategy / demand creation

  • Take initiative to drive local campaign value stories in line with product strategies
  • Develop & delivery targeting strategies to identify opportunities - current and potential installed base
  • Deal specific responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and qualitative data is available on penetration, convertibility, customer, local legislative / policy and competitor intelligence to drive specific targeting and campaign implementation
  • Lead post-mortem, deal analysis of wins / losses both internally and with customers
  • Maintaining all sales online tools updated on deal status
  • Additionally

  • Drive discovery session data to achieve winning solutions for customers
  • Develop long term strategic plans to drive penetration and growth
  • Strategic assessment of business data and assess growth opportunity
  • Continuously monitor and drive the development of the opportunity pipeline for regional opportunities Own a coordinated one face to the customer’ and develop & own their Sales plans
  • Build growth plans by Sales Deals, coordinate with other functions in driving detailed periodic reviews
  • Drive horizontal leadership with team members in growth and motivate to meet sales target
  • Qualifications / Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering + MBA
  • 5 years’ experience in power sector across sales, marketing, commercial operations in power services
  • Sound working relationship with key partners IPP’s and State & Central Government utilities in India
  • Strong Sales management skills, including developing relationships at the C-suite level; financial & analytical skills & strategic planning capabilities
  • Long-term business mindset
  • Strong presentation skills at the executive level
  • Customer, service and solutions mindset
