    Job summary

    The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Senior HR Manager to join us in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be a business partner and trusted advisor to the senior leadership sales and services team, providing business performance consulting and coaching on organizational effectiveness while also engaging in business strategy assessment and reviewing, and contributing to the business strategy by helping leaders identify where their team can invest resources to increase business performance.

    As a member of the India leadership team, you will consult on creating talent strategies that address the organizations key talent issues, including workforce planning, organizational design, associate engagement, talent assessment, and development and succession planning.

    You will partner with HR specialists from Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and Compensation and Benefits teams to use a team-

    based approach and deliver high-quality, consumable HR services that enable attainment of strategic business goals and crucial initiatives.

    As a Senior HR Manager, you will support the implementation and adoption of new HR programs by facilitating and maintaining effective change management practices with the sales and services community.

    Primary job responsibilities

  • Provide internal consultation and advisory services on a broad range of HR issues
  • Maintain employee relations, local employee communications, and personal development to support managers and improve associate, team, and business performance
  • Work according to the priorities of the talent strategy set by the HR team or regional management and collaborate with our global Centres of Excellence (CoEs) at our regional and global headquarters in Singapore and Raleigh, NC
  • Contribute to the development of the overall HR functions by sharing best practices and knowledge
  • Lead or contribute to Asia Pacific (APAC) HR projects
  • Actively formulate, develop, and implement results on key organizational issues for the region, including process improvement, change management, leadership development, strategic staffing, succession planning, retention strategy, policy and procedure creation and application, and organizational design
  • Help implement talent management initiatives in the region and assist teams with their HR strategies
  • Communicate HR programs to leaders, managers, and employees; provide guidance on local employment laws, policies, and procedures
  • Required skills

  • 12+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in the HR field, working in a fast-changing environment
  • Background in HR management consulting and strategic business partnering
  • Solutions-oriented with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams of diverse skill sets and experience levels
  • Solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of organizational dynamics and an operational experience with large and complex organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed for the ability to join in executive-level discussions
  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills including coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution
  • Good organizational and time management skills; high attention to detail and customer focus
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and motivated with the ability to work successfully across the Asia Pacific (APAC) cultures
  • Previous experience working outside of India in a multinational corporation is a plus
