Job Description

The Project Engineering Delivery Manager is responsible for the delivery phase of the project including detail design, fabrication and the interface between the 2 processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project NOV project 3D modelling and detail design resources
  • Define and implement NOV and project detail design standards to be followed during engineering detail design and interface to fabrication
  • Interfaces and follow-up project system design and procurement VS detail design inputs
  • Leads 30%, 60%, 90% model reviews
  • Coordinate and lead 3rd party engineering contractors
  • Validate skids and modules final design
  • Validate engineering interface to fabrication for each project
  • Technically qualify and align 3rd party detail engineering contractors to WSP engineering work flow and standards
  • As manager for the subcontract he shall represent NOV project management during the Fabrication process in the Fabrication yard
  • Responsible for subcontract budget monitoring, progress measurement and on time and quality delivery of the scope of work
  • Supervise and coordinate with NOV site fabrication team
  • Acting as a trouble-shooter helping the Project Manager in case of delays in Engineering / Procurement deliverables.
  • He is responsible of the verification and of the re-measurements of the fabricated quantities supplied by the subcontractor VS the latest IFC Drawings and MTOs and of the following overall yards Fabrication activities :
  • Changes / Claims / Cost follow up wherever applicable
  • Assist the Project Manager for all Project Progress issues related to Changes Requests or Changes Orders / Variations Orders or Claims raised by the Fabrication yards related to the Contractual matters.
  • Interface with yard and Fabrication Management on a daily basis and monitor their observance of Project Targets requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with the Subcontractor Management to ensure that all necessary resources are made available.
  • Ensure and expedite project team prior the start of the Work for the timely availability and adequacy of the NOV deliverables related to and impacting fabrication
  • Support the Project Manager for issues related to the PO Purchase Order / Contract Administration regarding fabricated Quantities Re-measurement, make any necessary adjustments.
  • Chair Fabrication Subcontractor Weekly / Monthly Progress Meetings prepare and issue MoM
  • Changes in the Work and Variations : examine all Quantity justifications given by Fabrication Subcontractor for any Change or Variation Requests, Change Proposals and the like, and evaluate Unit Prices and Unit Rates proposed by Fabrication Subcontractor and advise Project Manager accordingly.
  • Client Changes : assist along with Project Manager in preparing any Quantity Dossiers / Section for any Change Request and submissions to be made towards CPY.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office Programs for reporting
  • Minimum Technical Requirements

  • Technical education BTech / BE / BSc / MSc Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil &Gas process modules including structures, pressure vessels, piping, valves and pumps, engineering management
  • Proven experience on engineering management
  • Experience on fabrication of process skids and modules
  • Experience with International Codes and Standards.
  • Experienced in Engineering Subcontracts Management.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office Programs for reporting.
  • Practical Knowledge of 3D modelling software like PDMS, AVEVA3D, TEKLA, etc
  • Experience in Site Management System in Oil & Gas Projects, particularly in Fabrication or in Floating Offshore Installations or similar.
  • Experience with International Codes and Standards.
  • Experienced in Project Subcontracts Management.
  • Experienced in Project Planning & Scheduling / Work Progress Reporting.
  • Experience with cost control and management
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office Programs for reporting
