About the opportunity
As a Sr. Transport Planner, competent in microscopic / mesoscopic transport modelling packages. He / she will be responsible for checking quality project delivery from Junior Planners and mentoring them.
Good understanding of transport planning GID / GDC business area and should be a team player. Exhibits clear progression towards a technical career path.
Ensure clean delivery with close coordination with lead office project manager, delivery team and project reviewer.
Clear knowledge of work procedures, and ability to brief project team on them.
Delivering project to desired quality standards and according to mutually agreed timelines with the client.
Able to author competent technical reports of acceptable technical and presentation quality.
Act as a technical expert in the team, lead and develop other staff.
Able to do Technical reviews / client communications remotely with the team working at other offices
Coordination with counterpart team from the Lead Region and project reviewer
Manage time for own and assigned project delivery team.
Master’s degree in Transportation Planning / Engineering
8 to 10 years of GDC / GID experience (UK / APAC / ME)
In-depth knowledge and experience in using standard microscopic / mesoscopic transport modelling packages and recognized transport appraisal techniques
Demonstrable experience in VISSIM and AIMSUN software, Ability to produce clear, precise and coherent analysis, reports and plots from transport models and from transport appraisal packages.
Relevant transport modelling experience in other regions (UK / APAC / ME).
Ability to work both as part of a sophisticated multi-disciplinary team as well as possessing the ability to work independently to solve problems.
Capable of working under challenging workload subject to short notice.
