Job Locations IN-Pune Requisition ID 20041375 Job Category Information Technology Travel Requirements None Manages one or more information technology functions for a specific user group / functional area, for a site, or for the entire company.

Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design, and optimization of technical information technology platforms.

Maintains high level of technical expertise in at least one major information technology support areas and knowledge of its connectivity to other systems at the company.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Analyzes and selects enterprise systems, application software, network hardware and software, and / or database management tools.
  • Develops criteria and facilitates the evaluation and technical discussions for information technology solutions; offers recommendations on the applicability of these solutions for company use.
  • Interacts with internal customers to develop requirements and initiate and / or implement technology solutions to meet these requirements.
  • Maintaining interaction with the appropriate function sponsors and / or governance committees.

  • Ensures that information technology service delivery standards adhere to, and are consistent with those identified in the Information Technology Services Catalogue.
  • Maintains an awareness of and researches new technologies as they relate to the delivery of information technology.
  • Keeps group members informed, manages administrative aspects of the department including personnel matters. Sets performance goals / standards / objectives for the team.
  • Performs all management responsibilities for the team including coaching, and fostering growth and development.

  • Ensures system support documentation is developed and maintained completely and on a timely basis.
  • Monitors usage patterns and the operating environment of all major systems within area of responsibility; proposes and coordinates implementation of improvements.
  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Assumes overall responsibility for technical and non-technical projects within functional area.
  • Performs long-range planning of associated computer and / or communications systems.
  • Coordinates all changes to assigned systems with all other systems of the company and with all personnel affected. Performs major analysis and research work in directing the design and implementation of all assigned systems.
  • Manages staff; provides training and guidance. Interviews and selects staff. Responds to other personnel matters.
  • Works with other managers to coordinate project / goals of division.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • In-depth technical knowledge of one or more operating systems and hardware architecture
  • Good ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Good ability to supervise and train employees with varying skill sets in a high-pressure environment
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion
