You will be responsible for day-to-day management of Engineering teams to ensure technical quality, product quality, and efficient utilisation of resources.
You will ensure that the projects are delivered on time, within budget and with high quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams within Tata CLiQ and partner with key stakeholders. You are great at :
Delivering assigned projects within budgeted cost, time and agreed quality standards
Partnering with Product Management, System architects, Operations, other delivery teams and Release Management to ensure effective launch and delivery of projects to satisfy business needs
Leading teams to ensure project delivery success
Building and maintaining strong client relationships - internal and external
Applying best-practices and coding patterns that ensure world-class solutions that are maintainable, modular, and of high code-quality
Creating a culture that insists on meeting expectations and delivering value
Driving automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvement
Growing and managing the skills and talent in the team
Managing People Resource processes related to objectives definitions, regular check-in, assessment and compensation
Managing communication cross-functionally and escalating promptly as issues arise
Taking responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction during project delivery
Maintaining project management documentation including but not limited to project plans, issues, risks, action items, scorecards and project sites
Problem solving skills Required Candidate profile What it takes :
Bachelor's degree with 10 12 years related experience, of which at least 7 + years in development, 2+ years of project / program management
Experience in Analytics and Business Intelligence would be a plus
Strong design and coding experience
Hands on experience in Java, J2ee technologies, Hybris
Experience in massive-scale performance and scalability engineering
Exposure to Hadoop and related technologies, Analytics, Big Data would be a plus
Experience developing SQL Server 2005 / 2008 / 2012-based applications
Experience with Web applications development using Java and MVC
Must be confident, highly motivated and passionate about delivery and customer satisfaction
Must have strong organisational, communication and planning skills
Must have extensive experience in managing projects with Agile Scrum methodology
