In this role, you will be part of the Infrastructure team, which ensures the stability, availability and high performance of the IT infrastructure that serves Nokia’s entire workforce and upholds the technology for almost every single interaction of the company’s business.

    In IT Infrastructure, you are part of a team that is redefining IT and shaping the future of Nokia.

    IT Network Engineering manages globally the life cycle, delivery, quality and performance of the networking infrastructure of Nokia.

    Public and Private Cloud, Datacenters, Security, IP services and all other aspects of connectivity for Nokia offices and partners.

    Network engineer is responsible for IT service management handling events, incident ticket, change ticket, problem ticket for network technologies with complete knowledge of functionality, configuration, performance and quality of connectivity.

    This is a position in IT Network engineering center for enabling reliable service operation.

  • Follow troubleshooting mechanisms stated in SOPs and suggest corrective action or capture logs
  • Work in 24x7 support model and provide required shift handover
  • Create incident ticket for device alerts for non-auto-ticketing alerts, triage and escalate
  • Execute low critical service requests based on the SOPs
  • Own incident ticket resolution end-to-end and co-ordinations
  • Coordinate with cross-functional technology technical team to resolve the incident
  • Track intermediate issue until its closure working with multiple stakeholder
  • Follow the problem mgmt. process to get the root cause and problem task closure
  • Engage WAN service provider / Vendor / TAC to troubleshoot the issue and escalate to get is resolved
  • Additional duties as required and possible remote implementation assistance on special projects
  • Helping in ticket management and reporting task
  • Hands & eye support co-ordination and vendor dispatch
  • Qualifications

  • Experience in managing and supporting network infrastructures
  • Strong ability to understand the network alerts, events or issues
  • Bachelors’ degree or engineering degree in Telecommunications / Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Network technologies and services
  • Associate certification from any of network vendor NRS, JNCIA, CCNA and Public Cloud would be preferred
  • Good understanding on network technologies TCP / IP, TCP / IP Flow control, UDP, HSRP / VRRP / GLBP, DNS, ARP, Trunking, & Port Channelling and IPsec
  • Good understanding with routing and dynamic routing protocols such as : OSPF, BGP
  • Good knowledge on Enterprise wired and wireless network, firewalls, virtualization, load balancing and SD-WAN technologies
  • Experience in with DHCP and IP address mgmt.
  • Experience in Windows server and Linux handling
  • Knowledge on Virtualization fundamentals
  • Knowledge on Cloud Compute engine & DB will be preferred
  • Knowledge on scripting
  • Basics of virtual network and cloud connectivity
  • Basic understanding of common IT Infrastructure architecture and frameworks
  • Requirement gathering experience
  • Understanding of ITIL processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Eager and capable to work in a global multi-cultural team and to develop him / her self
