Role Summary / Purpose :
The selected candidate will be part of Innovation Analytics team and Analytics Center of Excellence rolling up to Synchrony Financial, Hyderabad.
The candidate would be part of the Growth Decision Management Analytics team providing valuable expertise in data analysis descriptive / predictive analytics.
The role will require working / coordinating with the project manager / stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities :
Support the development of the Analytics Platform initiative
Build predictive models for various use cases across lifecycle of a customer using techniques like Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Segmentation, Decision Trees, Machine Learning Techniques (like Random Forest / XG Boost etc.)
Analyze and explore datasets to find opportunities for Fraud / Credit / Marketing / Collections innovation through data analytics.
Extracting data from multiple data sources (i.e. Hadoop, Oracle, text files etc.)
Should have good working knowledge in Python / SAS / R and SQL to deliver multiple analyses in marketing / credit / fraud data.
Communicating business results / interpretations with clients and peers
Ability to generate innovative ideas and work on them which would have significant business impact
Qualifications / Requirements :
Post Graduate / Engineering in any quantitative discipline
Minimum 2 years of work experience with good working knowledge on Python / SAS / R / Pyspark and SQL
Experience in developing predictive models
Exposure to techniques like linear regression, logistic regression, segmentation, XG Boost, Random Forest
Experience in creating Excel reports (Pivot tables, Graphs )
Effective communication skills

Employees who have completed 18 months in the organization and 12 months in current role and level are only eligible.

Desired Characteristics :
Exposure to big data environment
Exposure to Tableau or equivalent data visualization tools
Understanding of US credit card or retail business
Exposure to credit card and retail concepts
Thorough knowledge of complete credit card / retail databases
Proven ability in delivering and reviewing business results with clients and peers
