This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base. Quality Assurance :

  • To make sure the quality assurance of operational risk controls across all processes in the Commodity Transaction Management Unit. (CTMU).
  • Competency and Effectiveness : To be fully competent in control measure skills and methodology in conducting sample testing, quality checking, and monitoring;
  • to be effective in identifying control process gaps, timely escalation of identified issues or risks, and any effective actions to mitigate within the accepted timeframe.

  • Ensure 1st Line risk ownership : To assist business heads or managers truly own all risks in their business areas.
  • Independence toward control management : To conduct independent and effective sample testing, monitoring, and investigation on frontline sales force and all related processes with control measures in order to provide feedback to the business head and control functions (CPOs & GPOs) in timely manner.
  • Monitoring and escalation : To be responsible for monitoring all processes in the corresponding area and escalate any issues and risks to the corresponding control function area and business heads.
  • Investigation, logging and monitoring of Ops Risk issues, events including development and implementation of action plans.
  • Risk identification, assessment and acceptance :

  • Responsible for ensuring the timely identification, assessment, mitigation, reporting and escalation of all identified exceptions.
  • Provide CTMU Group with any common trends of issues identified and add value by identifying any gaps.
  • Assist in the identification of the business and regulatory risks and the implementation of appropriate controls to mitigate those risks.
  • Responsible for the implementation and executions of the Control Sample Testing (CST) process, sampling and testing the population of controls to ensure compliance with the agreed standards. Control Effectiveness :
  • Ensure risks and issues identified are escalated in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Assist Group CTMU to develop and execute daily key control check and produce Risk MIS reporting for key stakeholders. Incident investigation, reporting and escalation :
  • Responsible for reporting of accurate, complete and timely event reporting to CTMU Group to capture risk events (losses and near misses) in EORP.
  • Perform independent reviews of Risk / Loss items, provide MIS and trackers of incidents and issues that arise within CTMU if required. Our Ideal Candidate :
  • Possess strong knowledge on the operations of CTMU.
  • Experience in operational risk management or engineering processes
  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation, leveraging resources across the organisation to complete deliverables
  • Possess in-depth knowledge and problem solving skills to function well in a Operations Risk Role.
