Business Analyst must meet the following criteria :

  • Possesses atleast 6-7 years of IT professional experience with good communication, coordination and organizational skills as a Business Analyst.
  • Possesses experience in creating technology proposals in the following areas :
  • Content Management System
  • Learning Management Systems
  • Business Applications / Portals
  • Website creation / revamp / redesign
  • RFI / RFQ / ITQ
  • Understand current and emerging IT products, services, processes, and methodologies, along with a continuing understanding of the business functions and processes
  • Demonstrate experience with :

    a. Requirements elicitation and definition

    b. Requirements planning and management

    c. Gap analysis

    d. Requirement documentation such as FSD / Storypoints / SRS

    e. Requirement verification and validation

    f. Conducting feasibility studies

    g. Preparing business cases

    h. Solution assessment and validation

    i. Building / writing proposal documents

    Preferred Expertise for the Business Analyst possess :

    a. Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification,

    b. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or other Industry equivalent certification.

    Good if it includes :

    Possess experience in preparing the solution large-medium scale applications / apps using either of the following technologies like :

    b. Java

    c. Opensource - PHP, Wordpress, Magento

    d. Objective C, Xcode for iOS

    e. Java, Android SDK for Android

    f. Database - My SQL, SQL Server, SQLite, Oracle etc.

    Duties shall include :

  • Participate in the Preliminary Planning phase, which covers -
  • Receipt / review of initial requests
  • Refinement of the request, and
  • Development of the business and use cases and concept proposal / ideation
  • Feasibility check with various parties involved and determine whether a project / proposal should proceed. Feasibility check shall include :

  • Legal feasibility check
  • Operational feasibility
  • Cost / Benefit analysis
  • Compliance feasibility check
  • Technical feasibility check
  • Have the ability to correctly identify stakeholders and respective Subject Matter Experts (SME- s)
  • Facilitate an elicitation session with different stakeholders
  • Understand and communicate information on the requirement
  • Comprehend basic to complex business issues; contribute to Information Technology projects by translating business needs into understandable requirements.
  • Elicit and document existing business models and work flows with the applicable SME's.
  • Provide recommendations related to proposed solution
  • Deliver informative, well-organized presentations, proposals
  • Understand the role of the system in the big picture and provide ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of the system and any project interdependencies to consider
  • Using a variety of technical and analytical tools, create and present cost specifications for possible improvements
  • Produce high level outline designs or use cases for construction of requirements
  • Provide consultation and make recommendations on applicable technology
  • Facilitate communication and meetings for building proposals and Statement of Work
  • Creating various projects document such as Understanding document, FSD and SRS
