About the Role

G2 is looking for an experienced and passionate manager to lead our Bangalore content marketing team and work closely with U.

S.-based marketing leadership to set and execute on goals. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in content marketing and SEO, with significant project and people management experience on teams of 10 or more, ideally with a U.

S. company. The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for helping develop and optimize parts of the overall content strategy for G2.

This person will be a jack-of-all-trades content marketer, contributing as a strategist, writer, editor, SEO specialist, and coach.

They will understand how to optimize content to maximize organic traffic, and how to maximize that traffic to achieve business goals.

This person will be able to work autonomously while also collaborating with other members of leadership on larger projects.


  • Own and be fully accountable for the output of the Bangalore CSO team
  • Measure and track the progress of direct reports and individual contributions
  • Measure and track team metrics via Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and others
  • Spearhead testing new content types and developing strategies
  • Hold weekly 1 : 1 meetings with your team and management meetings with team leads
  • Discover areas of improvement / opportunities with team processes and implement solutions
  • Facilitate content marketing relationships with interdepartmental stakeholders, both in Bangalore and abroad
  • Based on any given keyword, conduct thorough research and competitive analysis on a topic. Understand how to produce high-quality, competitive content.
  • Requirements

  • 3-5 years of management experience, preferably on content marketing or SEO teams
  • Exceptional upward and downward communication skills, and the ability to communicate with important stakeholders about complex content and SEO matters
  • Expert grasp on AP style editorial standards and American English.
  • A passion for and a strong understanding of the industry and our business’ mission.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of the Learning Hub.
  • 5 writing samples from a reputable publication, ideally in the marketing or tech space.
  • Demonstrated background in writing for SEO.
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines from multiple people.
  • Basic graphic design knowledge preferred.
  • Experience using content management systems, HubSpot preferred.
  • Experience using SEO research tools, such as SEMrush and Ahrefs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or journalism.
