It has now Retained Synergy Consultants to help it search and select a General Manager : Manufacturing Engineering for the Engines Plants, producing cylinder block, cylinder head, crankshaft, cam carrier (upper cylinder head) and assembly in one of the most modern global plants.
A Mechanical Engineer, with about 15 years experience in Industry at a senior level, having managed a large workforce. Should have worked in an Engine Plant having good knowledge of Transmissions is an added advantage.
Core skills needed are as below :
Process knowledge of engine components with emphasis on blocks, heads, cranks and assembly, must be able to develop and design a manufacturing process for all engine components
Must be able to specify and procure equipment that meets the process and product requirements for all engine components
Must be able to read drawings and understand machine and fixture concepts; have thorough understanding of cutting tools and tool technology and gages, CNC machines & SPMs, machining processes, cold test and hot testing of engines, automation and material handling equipment concepts, understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles, Excellent problem solving skills Max Experience(Years) : 18 years Min Experience(Years) : 13 years Education : BE / B Tech.
