Essential Job Functions

10+ years of overall experience. (With at least 3+ years as application transformation SME)

  • In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Cloud Foundry and GCP)
  • Prior experience in delivering application transformation to cloud for large enterprises
  • Preferable to have experience in installing application middleware and application servers in both windows and Unix / linux
  • Desirable experience on working with containers and migration of application workloads into container platforms
  • Discovery and assessment of resources using tools or native cloud solutions
  • Aware of cloud migration design patterns & use cases for cloud migration
  • Adoption of standards / best practices for application migration
  • Technology Skills

  • Good exposure to deploying and maintaining applications on Java technologies
  • Cloud Technologies : Docker Swarm / Kubernetes Ansible / Chef / Puppet Jenkins / Concourse / Atlassian / Bamboo
  • Java J2EE Technologies : JSP, SPRING, REST API, HIBERNATE, STRUTS
  • Unix - Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, SuSe, etc and Administration & Operation - Unix OS
  • Scripting - Python, Shell scripting
  • Database : ORACLE OR POSTGRES OR MYSQL OR MICROSOFT SQL SERVER
  • Certifications : Desirable, certification on at least one cloud platform i.e. AWS / Azure / OpenShift / CF or GCP
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information technology or related field preferred
  • Nine or more years of business solutions experience
  • Experience working with company products and services, business processes and re-engineering
  • Experience working with business environment, business industry and competitor products and services
  • Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, product-line hardware and software
  • Experience working with office productivity tools; delivery assurance and / or industry standards on deliverables
  • Experience working with administrative and / or workflow systems
  • Other Qualifications

  • Good communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel and management
  • Good skills at managing risks during product launches
  • Good creative thinking, problem solving, planning, time-management and organization skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Good human relations skills to select, develop, mentor, discipline and reward employees
  • Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
  • Ability to lead and work in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel
