  • Take ownership and lead a segment of spend and suppliers in a global commodity and applicable regional support, from setting strategy to achieving desired outcomes including the following activities :
  • Develop and implement the category strategy for optimal outcomes establishing savings and cash plans, and a tail spend management plan
  • Build and communicate a point of view enabling the strategy and targets
  • Conduct industry and supplier research, assessment, identify market trends, competitors, spend / cost drivers, value drivers, risks, and innovation opportunities; keep stakeholders informed
  • Conduct SWOT analysis to enable strategy and project planning
  • Deep dive analytics of suppliers and commodity costs, spend, preferred supplier, and cash for which accountable to drive benefits for the client
  • Acquire and coordinate client business requirements considering regional nuances
  • Business stakeholder and supplier relationship management
  • Supplier initiatives supplier selection, development, and / or supplier consolidation to ensure supply base optimization and overall supplier performance
  • Contract negotiation and contract management service delivery, day to day escalation management, change management, and overall lifecycle management
  • Negotiate and develop supplier contracts, communicate and implement new contracts with business sourcing and stakeholders
  • Execute cost reduction projects through competitive strategic sourcing processes (RFx), process changes, and implementation of sustainable cost controls, including collaboration with Finance to validate the impact of projects
  • High level of communication with client functional and business sourcing stakeholders
  • Functional and business sourcing stakeholder management and supplier relationship management
  • Define, measure, monitor, and control supplier quality and delivery performance to ensure service and business requirements are met;
  • conduct Quarterly / Annual Business Reviews, as appropriate, with key preferred suppliers

  • Operational management governance of sourcing category, spend, and cash for which accountable, project prioritization, and implementation of operational mechanisms
  • Meet or exceed KPIs, for example, savings, cash, preferred supplier targets
  • Reporting on the managed category of suppliers and spend as required including but not limited to reporting in the savings and cash management tools and other reporting platforms; input to commodity calls
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to stakeholders and business sourcing
  • Conduct consistent recordkeeping to document actions and results accomplished with the client
  • Develop business case studies showcasing impact aimed at new and existing customers

    Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven working experience in regional or global sourcing; Experience in consultative role and skills and ability to communicate, collaborate and build momentum with all levels to influence and achieve desired outcomes requires strong interpersonal and listening skills, ability to see the big picture
  • Experience in directly managing functional and business sourcing relationships at all levels
  • Good analytical mentality and experience, problem-solving, organization skills, good with numbers and cost / spend / savings analysis
  • Advanced negotiation and Change management experience
  • Strong and consistent self-starter
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Good understanding of upstream and downstream sourcing process from setting strategy to implementation and reporting
  • Results-oriented with a focus on meeting targets
  • A consistent sense of urgency to meet deadlines, targets, and increase client value
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (particularly but not limited to strong Excel skillset); working knowledge of sourcing technologies and data management systems such as databases, spend, cash, PO dashboards, and portals
  • Travel is minimal with potential for 2-4 times a year
  • Preferred qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent is preferred, however significant experience can cover for qualifications
  • Experience in professional services sourcing
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (or underway / a willingness to pursue) a plus
