Role Description

The Web Developer will help to design and develop various software products and implement prototypes and final applications in a timely manner.

This would include UI / UX design and development and working closely with back-end developers and other team members for delivering solutions.

They will be implementing new products as well as updating existing products. They will develop quick prototypes or wireframes of the user interfaces to demonstrate product concepts to stake holders for continuous feedback during the design process.

They will work closely with Carrier Digital teams including infrastructure, security, support and other product development teams.

They will implement best practices, techniques and technologies to produce value driven products that represent our commitment to quality.

The position requires a self-motivated and driven individual with clear thinking and problem-solving ability having a constructive and enthusiastic style of working to ensure delivering the next generation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Digital Team, you'll be a key developer of multiple web applications, designing & implementing web-based solutions, prototyping applications for the business in a well architected fashion that gives the most value for the total cost of ownership.

Hands-on development using Java, Angular, SQL and fostering improvements to legacy applications to drive modernization to cloud-ready solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent

3+ years of progressive experience in developing Java and / or Angular applications

UI / UX development

JavaScript / TypeScript

Angular2+

CSS (SCSS / SASS)

Webpack and NPM

Implementing OIDC security

Experience with Okta or similar IDM platform

Understanding of browser compatibility and troubleshooting, CORS, etc.

Delivering secure applications and ability to stay current with latest vulnerabilities and risks.

Collaborate with and synthesize feedback from both UX and cloud technology teammates.

Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes and / or wireframes based on business requirements

Experience with Git or Git derivative and with Git workflows, including tagging, branching, and integration

Agile Methodology (working in sprints, estimating work in story points etc.)

Knowledge of TDD (Test Driven Development) methodology and experience writing unit, integration and E2E tests.

Familiarity with Jenkins

Ability to understand the full scope of the problems our products are solving for users

Key Skills
