ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a HCL Technology Programme Manager you will help HCL go Beyond the Contract in a controlled way that confirms and achieves delivery excellence and creates long lasting trusted relationships with multiple clients and Project engagements.
Are you a dynamic and proactive individual with 7+ years of world class Project & Programme Management experience in a Cloud first environment?
Can you identify and proactively engage with multiple large Programmes & Projects (£5-£20M) value with high degree of Programme, Project, Financial and reporting complexity over a rapid delivery (9-18 month) period?
Working within the Cloud Business Unit organization you need to ensure contractual obligations are met and timeframes managed within agreed budget?
With a strong technical background you will draw on your experience to understand and challenge the technology solutions being created and delivered and you will anticipate the main barriers and blocks which projects and programme will encounter ahead of time.
You will assess and support challenging project environments and advise the Project teams in a proactive and accelerated fashion with an eye to the wider business objectives and opportunities of the Cloud Native Services business?
You will be familiar with reviewing contractual, financial and resourcing commitments to ensure contractual obligations are met across a wide spectrum of projects and programmes?
You will review project reporting documents, review contracts and Statements of Work to identify the right level of project communications and reporting ensuring fact based clarity across the documents?
In the HCL Technology Cloud Business Unit you will solidify and extend your Programme leadership experience by :
Anticipating and resolving major dependencies and barriers blocking progress.
Manage the transition from the Sales Cycle to the Delivery Cycle in a seamless and positive way.
You will review and refine Project schedules which demonstrate good understanding of timelines, objectives and the key dependencies for success.
You will actively engage with Project Management to ensure that we are always ahead of the requirements in terms of Acceptance Criteria, Contractual Obligations, Financial tracking and control and Reporting obligations.
You will ensure superb Project Planning, Tracking and Control skills in a cloud centric environment
You will create and participate in Client and internal Governance relationships to ensure Delivery is successful.
Collaborate with other workstreams to ensure best outcomes, efficiencies and dependencies are understood and defined.
You will own, assess and interpret the overall Programme RAID in a proactive and organized way ensuring that all risks are quantified and qualified with a fact based assessment of risk and impact.
Demonstrate excellent best practice Programme Management capabilities and set example to the wider Programme team.
Lead from the front, proactive person with ability to manage large, mixed, dispersed resources.
Able to quickly identify risks, blocks, opportunities to accelerate project work to support timely completion.
Self-Motivated team player with an eye for detail & anticipating the next project hurdles to overcome
Very well organized
Able to challenge the Programme and Project team to identify opportunities and ways to overcome project tracking issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Formal Project Management Programme Management qualifications and ability to adapt to and integrate with Agile techniques is essential.
Educated to degree standard or equivalent experience. PREFERRED SKILLS
