Job Description :

Responsibilities and Scope Responsibilities

  • Owns and executes accounting processes for Intercompany or Fixed Assets or Deferred Revenue / Royalty & Rebates with respect to revenue or Bank / Treasury or Payroll / Pension or Direct Tax or VAT or Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable, etc.
  • in a captive shared services organisationPosts manual journal entries for accruals / provisions and provides justification for QAs conductedPrepares monthly / quarterly statutory balance sheet reviews and quarterly profit and loss analytical reviews, including reconciliation of management vs.

    statutory accountingReports and tracks EscalatablesSupports audit requirementsPrepares and produces monthly reports as assigned, highlights and rectifies any identified anomalies

  • Performs analysis of transactional accounting information to support decision making
  • Typically, the first escalation point of contact for customer issues related to area of expertise
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvements and makes recommendations
  • Assists in training and mentoring of department team
  • Supports the development, implementation, maintenance, and communication procedures to ensure compliance with accounting policies
  • Impact / Scope

  • Executes day-to-day transactional activities of the Accounting processes owned
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of work and reports for the Accounting processes owned
  • Required Skills and Experience Education and Experience

  • First level university degree with a focus in Finance / Accounting recommended or equivalent experience
  • 6+Years of experience for B com / M com / Semi Qualified
  • Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in accounting areas such as Inter company or Fixed Assets or Deferred Revenue / Royalty & Rebates Accounting with respect to revenue or Project Accounting or Bank / Treasury or Payroll / Pension or Direct Tax or VAT, etc.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS / USGAAP Accounting
  • Hands on exposure to Oracle / SAP / Netsuite / Assurenet tools
  • Transition knowledge & project management of accounting areas transition from different geographies, would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills - Fluency in English
  • Strong computation skills
  • Strong team management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure to make key decisions
  • Good time management and multi-tasking abilities, with an ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Highly organized and motivated team player
